INCREASE YOUR MARKETABILITY WITH A MBA FOR ONLY $3250!!!

As a physical therapist, there are few ways to advance oneself. Besides becoming a more senior therapist at your current job, there’s moving laterally to consultanting, case management, and clinic liasons. To make a huge jump in salary, PT’s basically have 2 options: Take a huge risk and start your own company, or become a manager.

After researching job postings and consulting with various physical therapy managers on the requirements to move into management positions it seems to vary. For the most part, most management positions require around 5 years of PT experience and they desire some sort of previous management experience. FEW require MBA or MPA’s. SO why may this be a good idea????

  1. Separates you from the rest of the PTs without additional degrees

  2. This 2nd degree may allow you to get higher salary than a manager without a MBA/MPA

  3. Increased job stability

  4. Better ability to be a successful manager

  5. This may open up even more opportunities in higher management such as moving into CFO, CEO, COO, and high end consulting with have mega salarys which go with them!

After spending so much on PT degree, I really flinch at the idea of spending more. But after doing signicant research on online MBA programs, I found and applied to WGU (Westerns Governers Union). Heres why if you do go on to get your MBA/MPA, really look into WGU:

  1. NO APPLICATION FEES: they offer waivers on their website so you can apply for FREE (I did, there were no strings attached!)

  2. NO GRE OR GMAT REQUIRED

  3. Quick application processing – After talking with the counselor and providing my transcripts, I found out in 1 month that I was accepted in to the MBA program!

  4. Cheep: only $3250 per semester (click to go diretcly to their tuition page to view how cheap it really is!)

  5. Unlimited self paced “competency based” classes per semester- YES! If you are driven and hard working, you could complete these classes in as little as 1-2 semsters meaning you could get your MBA/MPA for $3250 to $6000. Once you think you are ready to take the test, you can!

  6. Friendly and supportive staff: I was able to schedule after hours meetings with my counselor to ask questions and get advice on choosing MBA vs MPA programs. He was kind, patient, and no trying to sell the school –just help me.

  7. Many easy to apply scholarships and company/corporate reimbursement programs to help pay for the programs

  8. For certain programs, you can carry over previous courses and get course credit!
